On Wrong Turns, a Passage -- by Alex Ranieri
He cannot give to you; neither can he receive your gifts. His food will not satisfy your stomach; nor will it poison. He will not learn your language, nor is his tongue decipherable. His palace has no walls; nor does a door wait to be unlocked. He is not to be hunted down in the world; nor is there a world without him. He cannot breathe, yet he is the breath of life. Who can enter his domain? Only the man who takes a wrong turn is surprised by his welcome.
